2022 CPO Exam Application Launch

The American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) is pleased to announce the opening of its application portal for the Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology (CPO) subspecialty examination. Following are instructions to access the portal and complete the online application as well as Important Dates for the process.   
 

Important Dates

Application Due Date:   April 27, 2022
Schedule Your Seat with Pearson VUE: Available upon application approval May 16, 2022.
Exam:   October 25, 2022, at Pearson VUE test centers 
 

Accessing the ABOHNS CPO Application Portal 
  1. Visit www.abohns.org and click on "Physician Log-In” and enter your login information. If you need help obtaining your password, please use the "Lost Password" feature on the log-in page or contact Michelle Ortiz at mo@abohns.org, or call 713-850-0399. 
     
  2. On the Physician Dashboard, click the dropdown arrow under “Manage Your Certification”. Under “Subspecialty Tasks”, select Apply for CPO Exam and follow the instructions for completing the application. 
     
Fees/Deadlines 

Application: A non-refundable fee of $3,125, for the application and exam fee, is required at the time of application. Applications received or completed between April 27May 4, 2022, will be assessed a $210 late fee.   

Applications received or completed after May 4, 2022, will not be accepted, and will need to apply in 2023. 
 

Special Accommodations 

The ABOHNS fully supports and is compliant with the Americans Disabilities Act (ADA). Upon request, the ABOHNS will make reasonable accommodations in its examination procedures for candidates with documented disabilities. An applicant who meets the definitions outlined in the ADA can review detailed information regarding ABOHNS' accommodation policy (Specialty Accommodations Policy). All ADA requests must be received at the time of application.
